Reclaiming Pumpkin Spice (a visit to Doughnut Plant)

The ubiquity of pumpkin spice lattes (PSL) has kept me away from pumpkin spiced anything until today.  This afternoon, my work friend and I decided that we were deserving of a treat.  A doughnut treat.  A pumpkin doughnut treat.  Call us #basicbitches if you like, we don’t care.  It was MORE than worth it.

Doughnut Plant never disappoints.  Their cake doughnuts are soft and always fresh and the flavors are always natural and never overpowered by sugar.  Normally I go for the tres leches but today decided that I would go with a seasonal offering.  Man am I glad I did.  It was like a little round journey to heaven.  I seriously slowed my pace in eating it to make it last as long as possible.  And am so thankful I only bought us one each because had I gone for the dozen I originally considered, I would be writing this from a hospital room as nothing would have stopped me from eating every last one.

I really have nothing else to say.  I am in some sort of post-doughnut haze.  Get thee to Doughnut Plant and join me in the glory, won’t you.
