Flywheel and Doughnuts

The good life, let’s go on a living’ spree
Shit they say the best things in life are free

OK – so Flywheel isn’t free but going back felt really good. I was focusing so much on the fact that I hurt my knee, I forgot why I loved going in the first place. They are super welcoming, everything is set up really well (from checking in and having my shoes ready – for free! – to the water and towels and lovely showers). I forgot how fun it is to workout to great music picked and mixed and coordinated to motivate you. The ironic thing is I had maybe one of my best classes but because I traded seats with the girl next to me so she could sit with her friend, the stats aren’t reflected in my account. Don’t get me wrong, I could have asked the woman at the front desk to make the change but I didn’t care all that much. I was too happy to have gotten back on the horse (read: bike) to care about some numbers. I am scheduled to go again tomorrow and can’t wait.

After class I went to Dough – they had passionfruit curd and strawberry jam filled doughnuts as specials. I bought one of each – for me and my mom. My mom went with the strawberry leaving the passionfruit for me. But when I bit in to it, there was no filling. I guess they forgot or skipped over that one somehow. I was so happy from a successful Flywheel class, I didn’t even care. Yeah adrenaline.

I’m so glad I made it past the fear of an injury (it wasn’t even that serious but I can’t think of a better word) and went back to class. My thighs are sore and I imagine tomorrow will be rough. But for now, I am super psyched to have Flywheel back in my life.
